    Lago Bracciano - Italy

Post by G-GMDH on Wed Nov 18, 2015 4:59 pm

This is Lago (Lake) Bracciano a long way from our house but well worth the trip as it has a very interesting aircraft museum.

    Update

This evening I decided to build the aircraft museum and add a water runway with the free software ADE 165

Thanks guys, the trouble is when to stop. I have been tweaking it again this morning adding cars, people, even a guy with a flash camera that "works" and so it goes on.

The problem is the very limited buildings most of which do not come close to the ones in real life so it is a compromise every time.

Now to STOP and call it a day.

    Cheers, M

Mike, InstantScenery is payware ($29.95) from Flight1:

    http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=iscen3

I've been using it for quite a while - mainly for ad-hoc scenery object addition to compliment existing/autogen scenery. I use ADEX for airport development but the variety of buildings can be limited so i use InstantScenery (IS) to access other object libraries and then place the bits I want. Also, IS is really useful for mission building as the OPT can be a bit clumsy for object selection/placement.

I think there's a limited free trial option. Good luck!

    Cheers - Dai. Cool

Instant scenery is one of these programs that I have been looking at many times.
Right now is not the moment, but maybe after having finished Denmark Photoscenery.

Is it easy to add non existing airfields that doesnt exist in FSX? Mainly grass

    Hi again Dai,

Many thanks for that, I have never come across this before. I did download the demo to find you can only use it in USA at one airfield, pity as I wanted to try it here in Italy.

I have watched the YT video and it seems a very useful bit of kit.

Currently I use ADE 165 which works perfectly OK.

Thanks again for the info.................cheers, M

    PS Another float freebie.....................

PPS. I know I have mentioned this web site in the dim and distant past but worth another ...... http://www.altitude.nu/

Just "Click" on the map and it gives height above sea level. Having used it again realized I had my aircraft museum getting slightly damp around the edges!!!!

Hi DB, No I'm not clever enough to have done the water masks on this scenery. This is the new Italy scenery 1M/PIX I have downloaded and the lakes are already masked so they look GREAT!!!!

I know you didnt make the photoscenery, but you are enjoying the watermask, because if no water mask -- no floatplane landing zone. The water mask makes it water. Very Happy

Besides that, about your scenery. Very nice.

Sorry DB I misunderstood your comments. YES the water in the lakes is excellent and having GREAT fun with the FREE "floats". I seem to be spending a lot of my time on the water, perhaps I will take up fishing!!!!?? Wink

    Cheers, M
