I follow up with my tests in the same subject and I completely agree with your conclusion.

Here the kml. made very fast and with coast a bit away from the real coast.

    Here a screenie with 1x 0.0 and 1y 0.1

    And finally with 1x 0.0 and 1y 0.5

Thanks DB for your test results which are most interesting.

I will leave my new mask settings as they seem to give the best results.

    Until the next test................................?

    Cheers, M

I wouldnt call them Kevins settings. Look here, the last line he wrote in the above qoute:
"I change 1y and do a couple of builds to see which one I prefer"

But, for now I leave it like that as well. Maybe on some Bing tiles with the white squares comming very close to the coast, another setting will be required.

ahh, is that before or after its been throug fsxwaterpolyconverterV3.0.exe?

No honestly, i would love to be able to (and have the time to learn how to) work waterpolys, flattens, make my own mesh etc. But time is limited and right now I´m busy with knitting my woollen winter underwear. albino

I think its time for a well deserved rest from scenery making / water masks and try to get back to actually flying and being content with the home made scenery already made........................M
