    FSET REVISITED 2017

Post by G-GMDH on Mon Nov 20, 2017 4:22 pm

Well chaps I wish this had been around when struggling to make FSET work all those years ago............................

What I have learnt from this, and there is always something new to discover in FSET, is that using the GREEN mask, as per the video, you do not have to edit the photo satellite image if its missing the water tiles. If you use the RED mask you have to colour the missing water tiles (usually white) with say blue otherwise the white shows up in the water effects.

Having spent some time experimenting with the mask colour since first posting this article, using the GREEN gives a hard edge to the shoreline, whereas the RED gives a good blend, allowing the shallow water effects of rocks, sand etc to show through.

    Just found this one................

    THE EXPERIMENTS CONTINUE......................
